‘Football is for young people; players above 30 become politicians’-Former GFA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi Claims

Former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has made a very controversial statement that has got Ghanaians talking.

According to Kwesi Nyantakyi, players who are above the age of 30 offer very little to their teams and rather become politicians who agitate over the least issue.

He made this statement in an interview on GTV Sports+ while discussing the current state of football in Ghana and the way forward.

He opined that since players above 30 become politicians in their teams’ football is for young players.

“Football is for young players and I had this policy at Wa All-stars,” He said.

“I always said that any player over 30-years is no longer a footballer but a politician. He is coming to destroy your team for you, they will come with agitations and all kinds of things”
